Default 2007+ climate *****

Hi all, I want to replace the appliance looking plastic A/C, vent and fan ***** with billets but most ads and manufacturers' sites indicate that Ford changed the designfor 2007 and now they can't be removed. Did anybody get to do the swap and if so, how did you take the old ***** off and what did you replace them with? Thanks.

I was just reading a site that did make ***** for the 07, you basically take the entire control panel apart or you just break off the ***** and glue the replacements on.

Can't remember where I saw them though.

EDIT: Found them. http://www.silverhorseracing.com/web...ategory_id=254

Found this too:

Great info, thanks for the links. I'm going to try the quicker way (the pliers pull) first and see how that goes.

Yup. SilverHorse Racing is the way to go. Very easy to install. Here's my post.

Yes, it is factory. The shutter was just held open for a longer than normal time on the camera so it looks brighter than it usually is.

Yeah, the glow is factory. I used a 3 exposure HDR method to get a great looking interior photo.

$60 really isn't high. If you look at MossMustang, they sell the cheesy covers for $60. These are billet replacements. They're also of the highest quality and made by a company with a fantastic reputation.
