Default Installed my CDC Shaker!

I finished my shaker install! Not too bad at all. I used a laser level to get the center line on the hood before taping the templet on to cut. I also taped the entire hood with tape and cover the fenders. Metal shaving go everywhere (just as TacoBill said). I used an air-compressor to blow them off, instead of wiping with a rag and risking scratches. All in all, it went very well took 3-4 hrs. I really like the way it looks. I may have the hood center painted matte black (like a Mach 1 or Boss). I am still trying to decide. I have attached some pics I took during the project.

you might want to try vinyl if you're unsure, that way you can take it off if you get tired of the look.

That is a good idea. I was thinking about going wider. Like a Saleen Heritagehttp://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/30/s...itage-edition/ . I'll have to think about it a little while. I work at a car dealership with a bodyshop so having it painted is pretty cheap and easy. I am also thinking about the 'honeycomb' for the back http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/30/s...itage-edition/.
I wanted to make the hood stripe a little wider to match my 69.

Very nice hoodscoop. If I ever get the money, I would like to do a shaker hood, but I am a poor college student. The one pic almost looks like the snow plow goes on the stang.
