Default 18x10 Bullitts installed

I really like the old muscle car/dragster look with big tires on the back, and smaller ones up front. To achieve this look, I ordered 18" Bullitt replicas from americanmuscle.com and Nitto 555s in 295/45/18 from discounttiredirect.com (since americanmuscle did not have that size listed on their site.)

I kept the stock 17" Bullitts up front, and unfortunately the replica 18s aren't an exact match. My stock rims were anthracite, but the anthracite finish on the 18s isn't exact, but very close. The centercaps are also larger, so I cannot simply just take the Ford centercaps off of my original rims and swap them. I'll probably switch the front rims/tires eventually, but for now, it looks good.

I do feel a slight performance loss with these big "meats" on the back. The overall new tire height is like 28.2" vs the stock 27".
So, according to the calculator that 28HopUp posted, my 3.73s are nearly back to stock.

Overall, I love the look. My car looks a little more intimidating, and I notice other cars just hanging in my blind spot when I'm out cruising.. just checking me out and/or sizing me up!

Let me know what you think!

Looks awesome, the rockers kinda throw off the car without a GT frontand rear bumper...

i disagree. i think it looks very sharp, very clean and most of all, not too GT. i've always liked icon's car and the new wheels look cool. you really need to at least get matching center caps to help out the slight difference in the color. it should look real killer if you decide to go with deep dish for the front. nice job dude.

It looks better than I thought it would. It gives it more of a tough muscle look.

Do you have a complete rear view shot?Looks really good.
Now, picture your car with the 3D Carbon Front air dam.

Yeah baby - those new meats look AWESOME! They really fill up the rear wheelwells too. I know what you mean about the center caps. My PP came with the tribar centers, so I got the larger tribar center caps for my 17x9" replicas.

You could get stock tribars caps for the front and the larger ones for the DD's. Although the larger center capsare different from the stock (and the wheel color is slightly off from stock), the replicas look great in person, and most folks won't notice the difference when looking at your ride.

Again, your car looks awesome! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Your car looks great. Congrats. I've been wanting to do the same thing to mine. It was how our cars looked back in the '70s and I really miss that. Could I go a little bigger (taller)in the back? I would probably want to stay with 18" rims.If so what size would you recomend.

real nice man. It'll look killer if you get matching deep dish for the front wheels. I agree you should get a painted CDC chin spoiler for the front. If you had retained stock tire height with the 18's do you think you would of felt that much of a difference with the power loss or do think upgrading to 4.10's would correct the feel of the car?
