I knew a girl who painted an olds with gold spray paint. Ugliest car I have ever seen. There is no way a can of spray paint is getting near my pony or any car that I own.

whatever. hmmmmm, Rims, car body, rims, car body. THEY'RE NOT EQUAL. The OP just sprayed paint directly onto the car body. Big f'ing difference that anyone with common sense should be able to see.

If someone is seriously cheap and wants a black out panel, just buy the $20 vinyl one that BSM sells. Never use spray paint on a car body.

dude, if YOU like it and YOU own the car, that's enough. Hot rodding has always been anti-snob. Whether it's a $2 spray can or a handmade hood for a 32 Ford. Hot rodding is hot rodding, and somewhere, once upon a time soomeone applied vinyl tape to a car and called it a good thing. Probably was ridiculed by some at the time too. Regardless if everyone hates it but you, it's good to you, and that's what the sport of hot rodding is about.

you can't wax flat black paint, so wax around it. You'll adapt, go with it. Worse comes to worse spend $20 for a piece of black vinyl and go over it.
