Default Cervinis Question

So I've had my 08 GT since Nov 07 and I ended getting in a little fender bender this month. I took my car to the body shop and since they're gonna have to replace the front bumper/fascia... I figured why not get a aftermarket one.

So I spoke with my insurance and they said it's ok and I spoke with the body shop and they said it's ok but they wont guarantee the paint on aftermarket parts because they dont know how good the quality is....

My question is, Have any of you that have bought and are using Cervini parts had any type of problems? Say with the fit or the primer causing the paint to come off? Do the bumper/fascia go on with the stock parts or do you have to buy or do extra stuff?

I could use all the help I can get... They need my answer soon so they can order the stock bumper or wait for my aftermarket one.

-Thanx

The Cervinis front bumper cover is a great fit and is urethane. Make sure the body shop knows what they are doing and the Cervinis bumper cover is made from what many factory installed bumper covers use. It was no different than the front bumper cover for the stock mustang as far as paint and prep is concerned. A flex additive should be used as the bumper cover will flex if hit or any pressure is applied. This is not a secret and any reputable body shop (not just the cheap ones the insurance company uses sometimes) should know this or stay away from them and insist on a comparable shop for the paint work. I already do not like a body and paint guy that won't back up their work regardless if it is from the factory or not..... JMO but I have lots of new painted parts on a black 06 GT so trust me I know. Pascal and bodyman where r u??????

Thanks Poco! I am in the process of putting a new hood on the car and might/might not sell this one you see now.......Already promised to another member but if he backs out its yours. I am still undecided as I like the hood but need a functional one for the whipple!!!!! so I might just keep it and have 2

Cervini's kit is really popular, so I don't think there should be any problems at all.

Good luck on your future hood J.
Hope you'll find a shop up to the task.
