Now that I have 2 of the same Nano's, I can afford to mess one up.
So masked and painted stripes on it. Now all I have to do is figure out
how to get an iPod to play in my car. I know there's a mod that'll allow
me to put it in. But isn't there an Aux. in put in the back of the
Shaker 500 that I can work with?

 

So i searched the net and couldn't find a single photo of the back of a Shaker
500 or shaker 1000. So i figured this picture is as good as any on the net of
what the back of the Shaker 500 looks like.



I'm really wondering if the AUX channel is 2 female RCA jacks. Does anyone know?

I have an AUX on my Shaker 500, there's a headphone jack in the center console right next to the power point in there. Take a female to femal 3.5mm headphone cable and attached it there into the ipod. No Ipod controls on the Shaker 500 but it will allow the audio from the ipod to play when the "line-in" is selected on the 500

 

Derf00, Do you have any tips on how I can get behind there? I was just
looking and I'm not even sure if i can get my hand back there.

The '07's have an aux input jack in the center console. Don't know about a mod for pre-'07. Try the search. This topic has been discussed quite often.

 

I have the optional trip tunes on my 08,it allows full control of ipod from factory deck.I know you can buy this kit,i think it only works on 06 and up decks.if not there is a few places selling kits for 05 has well.don't use one of those fm kits that you tune to radio station they sound like crap

LOL nice, I spent the extra money on a red nano to match my red seats, not to help the kids in Africa... that was just a bonus.
