It needs some work, but it could definitely be a factory option for sure. I honestly think they should bring back a new 65-68 coupe or fastback. Make it look just like the original but with modern features I would buy one in a heartbeat.

There is a company out there that sells 67 and 68 body's out there that you can purchase with updated welds. You would basically be building a new car from scratch with completely brand new parts. I got the link at home on my other computer. I'm sure one could manufacturer a great updated interior for them.

straight up....that thing makes me gag. its hideous. i dont like it whatsoever. im sorry but go buy the original fastback if you want that look, dont turn a s197 into that. i'd rather drive a bone stock s197 then one done up with that kit. its hurting my eyes to look at it and its honestly disturbing me everytime i think about it.
