I'm just wondering because the Saleen SuperShaker has come into my realm of affordability. I think the Shaker scoop is cool, but I think it would be even cooler to put a nice big scoop OVER the Shaker scoop for the ultimate form and function combo...not to mention the MAJOR sleeper aspect.

Anyone know of a hood scoop already in existence which would either be big enough or is designed specifically to cover a Shaker scoop?...or am I looking at a custom fab job?

 

The Cervini b9 hood scoop should cover the shaker. I like th idea, i jus jumped the gun nd bought the scoop VERY satisfied with it, fyi.

yah i think you'd just draw more attention. the only people who would even know what the saleen super shaker is would be other mustang owners who were into their car.

 

The shaker is more about looks than function anyway... So IMHO just decide which look you like better--shaker or scoop (scoop for me)--and go for it.

In fact, its doubtful whether there are really any truly "functional" scoops - whether with holes drilled under the scoop, or ram air; I mean, it seems like it would be functional, but there is very little data to prove it and some theories that, for instance, air doesn't travel closely enough to the hood to really make scoops worth a damn.

Doesn't mean they don't look killer, though!

 

you are confusing the saleen super shaker with the cdc shaker hood. The saleen super shaker is a super charger adding well over 100hp. Way more function than looks.

 

He should ask Trufiber to make a hood to go over his ............................................hood? It's cold right now in the East Coast.
Maybe the Russians?? A scoop going over a scoop, and then another scoop...
