Dealer Repainting Driver's Door. Will it Match?
I picked up my black '09 GT last Tuesday, and on Wednesday I noticed that there was a slight chip on the upper part of the driver's door. The dealership has offered to paint the door for me to correct the problem. A friend of mine claims that the paint job will not match the rest of the car due to the fact that it will be a newer paint job than the rest of the body. Should I be concerned about this?

My dealership had to repair some in-transit damage to my rear bumper when I bought it plus I had them paint my rear window louvers about 1 year later. They did an excellent job. Absolutely excellent match on both.
It ll be fine i just had a bumper painted AU ford black the car is an 06 the bumper is just from the Saleen plant and got painted, then when i put it on there wasnt a difference AT ALL!, plus my painter is one of the best!
Black is the EASIEST color to match.........there's only 1 black. The "issue", if you want to call it one, is going to be the loss of the factory orange peel being replaced by a very smooth, slick finish most painted parts exhibit once the factory paint is altered.
