Secondly, when I put the **** on and tightened it there was play between the **** and the spacer. What I did was put some electrical tape on the shifter just below the threaded part this snugged the spacer up against the ****. Hope this helps someone.
I did the same thing.
What I did a little later on is take a small piece of billet, drill it out and tap it, and flipped the Roush grommet upside down (again, putting electrical tape beneath it to keep it tight). Roush should've made their grommet threaded, or shorter. Then, eventually, I got the Hurst and bought a black ball for it.
