Those are the hood pin cables.
In regards to the bug guard, I would look into the 3m clear bra like others have said, I think the plasic guard looks funny.

Anyone have the similar ones that go over your windows? or does anyone ever make them for stangs? Im sick of getting soaked when i crack my window at a drive through or open my door in the rain and i think one of those wind/rain guard things might help, but i dont know how they look or if anyone makes them

i went to walmart right after i posted that and saw a stang with the window ones. With dark tint its hardly noticeable.

I've seen a few pics on this site with Mustangs having that installed. They don't look bad.
