How do those window air guards attach?
EVeryone has seen those smoke colored plastic guards you can attach at the top of the window (I can't remember the exact name for them).
Anyway - if I got a set for my mustang - how exactly do they attach to the door? Is it hard?

Ok...
As the 2009 Mustand doesn't have a metal part to the door above the glass - I assume you actually attack it to the area ABOVE the door, instead of the door itself.
I'm getting the hood protector first, but I may ad this later. I was just curious how big of a pain it would be to install before I ordered it.

They are called vent visors. There are 2 kinds, both attach with 3M tape. The first type actually installs on the body of the car outside the window (had these on a few cars and highly discourage this type as the tape requires constant replacement when it gets wet and from the wind blowing on them, they eventually seperate from the car). The second kind is referred to as an "in-channel" vent visor (recommended by me). They are made to fit very tightly into the channel that the window goes into as it is rolled up. They are wedged into the window channel at an angle and the adhesvie is attached inside the window channel in a way that when the window is rolled up it is putting constant pressure on the tape into the channel helping to secure it to the car. The in-channel type are alot less obvious and blend into the car better. Most people on Mustang forums hate the idea of these on a Mustang. I had them on a Durango and a PT Cruiser in the past and I have to say coming from a "big-boned", sweaty guy, that always has to have the windows cracked for some fresh air, they are awesome to have when it rains to let fresh air in without getting drenched. I have never seen them on a mustang, but wouldn't mind seeing some pics.
I thought they would look bad, and i saw them on a silver s197 a couple days ago at walmart and was suprised. I probably wouldnt have noticed them if i wasnt looking for other stangs with them so i could get an idea of how they look. With tinted windows they really just blend in from the side angle atleast.
