Default 18 inchs up front, 19 inchs on rear

maybe a dumb question but has anyone done this double staggered set up, 18x8 wheels up front with 255/45-tires and 19x9.5 set out back with 275/40 tires? im wondering if i will have something looking super stupid and driving like major crap or would this be a very good balance of looks and handling? fyi the 18s are 23lbs and 19s are 27lbs...please chime in

***i also posted this in the handling section, its kind of a two part question***

Porsche used to do that and some other Euro cars.
The bodywork shape kinda welcome it...

On a Mustang, one would have to see to be sure.

I've seen it done before. Looks good. I did the opposite with my '05 and did 18's up front and 17's in the rear, for drag radials.

That's what you're looking at. The fronts are 18x9 with 255/45 KDW2's. The rears are 17x9 with M&H 325/45.

28 inches. I'm talking about the mineral grey car I posted... my red '07 is 18's, also running over 28" out back.

Come to think of it...
We have a local guy here, also a member, user name "The Magician".
He has 20s up front and 22s at back on a Torchred GT with chrome wheels.
I saw the car more than once (came to my house too) and it doesn't look bad, interestingly enough...
