Default S197 Colors

Hello, I am a Mustang Noob trying to learn more about these cars every day.

Does anyone have production numbers for the different colors on the GT's from 2005-2009? I searched but didnt find much. I like to have a color that isnt extremely common and need a little help. Any help would be much appreciated.

What do you think is the rarest color?
Was there ever a purple on s197?
I was thinking that lime green color on the 05's?

Themustangsource.com is a place to get production numbers based on model year. No purple has come out of the factory on a 197 car. And legend Lime was used on more than the 05 model year. Can't remember when it stopped though.

the rarest colors are normally the ugliest ones, ie legend lime. IMO. Just get what you like cause mustangs are a dime a dozen. Just do some exterior mods to make it your own and set it apart from the rest

OUCH! there are a lot of great lookeng LLers just on this forum that would have a lot to say about that. Legend Lime is a great color if it's modded correctly, it can even look good stock, its just not everyone's taste. Now, windveil blue, THERE'S an ugly color (lol, jk guys). Btw I feel Tungsten is kinda rare. There weren't any other cars my color at the last cruise I went to and I see a lot of mustangs on the road it's rare to see any in tungsten or even mineral grey

Not because I own one but if you are really interested in production numbers and sounds like you want to keep your car for a while... why not buy a Shelby, Saleen or Roush. I have a link to the Roush production numbers. It is kind of cool to know your car, color combo is like 1 of 10 and not 1 of 19500. Does add to the cost of the car but you can find some great deals out their. Just a thought.

Wasn't tungsten like a one year only color?

I like the grey colors as well as bright red, blue and LL. LL is my fav though. I want a GT because of the price and that I can do my own SuperCharger install, I like to learn

After ready a copy of 5.0, there is so much more avail for the Mustang than my Camaro.

we all have our opinions. thats why i put IMO at the end. if we all liked the same colors it would be a boring world.

I believe tungsten was produced from 06-07. And I also remember seeing some production numbers where tungsten was the second most produced color after black. Their are tons of tungsten mustangs around where I live.
