Default Agent 47 mirrors question

I just put Agent 47 mirrors on my car. I had the pods painted Redfire Metallic to match the car, and they look great.

I got the glass on both mirrors, and I'm very certain that I have the glass on correctly. However, if I move the mirror too far, to where it binds against the inside of the pod, I can get the glass to actually pop off the motor.

Has anyone else had this problem? It seems like there's more space than is needed on the outside of the pods and not enough on the insides. Granted, most people don't use the mirrors to look at the sides of their cars, but there might be times when turning the mirrors in a lot might be necessary.

It shouldn't do that.
That glass has to be indexed wrong.
Or , it's not all the way in the circular tabs of the motor...

Thanks for the reply, Pascal. Before my first post I took the mirrors off and put them back on the motors again. After reading your reply I tried moving the mirrors to their extremes. They don't pop off now. Instead the motors make clicking sounds when the mirrors are at their limits. I'm assuming there's some sort of clutch or something in the motors to protect them from overload.

They're sure an improvement over the factory mirrors. Visibility is fine, too, even though I have quarter window covers.

The way I put those on, is with both my thumbs in the middle of the glass.
I press on until you get that snap on feel, like a pop.

I had the same thing happen the first time I tested my Agent 47s. Tested the mirror movment either way all was good. Walked over to clean the pass. side and it popped off in my hand. Dang must not have pushed it on all the way. Popped it back on and checked both. All good. They appeared to be on and but were not quite there. Best to check them for sure.

Dick, so where are the updated pics? Anxious to see how they turned out on the Redfire. Maybe we'll run into each other again before the end of show season. Redfires were 1, 2 at that Soerens show!!!

One other good check, I believe the passenger side glass has the "Objects closer..." on the glass.

Yes it does have the stupid government line.

Have you been sporting your Ford flag?

Retro_pony, I haven't had time to take the car somewhere to photograph it. I'll get to that before the snow flies.

I'd love to get a supercharger on the car and change the mirror type to "Objects In Mirror May Be Camaro's".

My photo album now has pics of the car with and without the Agent 47 mirrors. The album is here.
