Default Bumper replacement questions

So i the other day i was a victim of a hit and run.

So now i want to get a whole new bumper. possibly street scene or something like that.
My question is since i have true dual exhaust, should i be browsing for a GT rear bumper replacement or a v6 bumper replacement, and just later cut a groove for the exhaust?

thanks guys.

id say go for the gt bumper, if your gonna get something later on after this new bumper, itll be a whole lot easier to sale a gt bumper than a v6 bumper.. i had to sale mine to a junkyard for cheap just to get rid of it

Depends what your budget is. If $ is not an issue, I say go with a GT/CS rear

I would say just get a Gt rear bumper.. even a take off would work.

Some kid texting at a red light let off the brake and bumped us. Luckily, I found a GT bumper two weeks ago on a local forum for $175. They seem to be harder and harder to find nowadays. New from Ford is $265, then add on 100-130 for paint. If you report that to your insurance you should get right around $700. I'd say if you're looking for something non OEM, then browse the GT bumpers, the V6 bumpers will just have a single outlet. With all the different styles available I wouldn't even consider cutting a V6 bumper.

I don't anything about their business but mrbodykit.com has a bunch of options. Check out the Vista Blue 3D Carbon about a 1/3rd of the way down here. Pay attention to how the bumper looks along the bottom behind the rear tire, you want it to match whatever style rockers you got.

FYI the GT500 and GT/CS rear bumpers are identical except the GT500 has the entire bottom diffuser portion painted black, so it matches better with the V6 rockers. The CS only has the middle portion painted with the sides the body color so it matches the GT rockers.

Thanks a ton guys, i really appreciate it.

And to the guy who was rear ended by a texter, do you by chance live in the brandon area of florida? That story sounds frighteningly similar to what a friend of mine did :/
