Yes, I painted the inside of the housing to provide contrast to the vent trim. It shows well during day and even more at night. Gold color is same color as the rocker trim decal.

My account won't allow attachments so I'll try to do so using photobucket links.

Default Pics for headlight mod

Pics above show the 7" round headlight and H4 lamp I used.

Pics above show factory reflector cuts to allow the new headlight to rest inside and be mounted to the reflector using the 3 straps screwed in using very small screws. I used a Dremel to cut the lens off the factory housing and to cut adhesive holding vent trim.

Pics above shows headlight installed and how straps mount to new light at rear.

Pics above show housing with trim installed to eliminate gap between bumper cover/grille and modified housing. Used sprinkler tubing and screwed from backside but other methods could be done as well.

Default Updated light pic

The pics showing how-to show the light I first used. Here are the lights I put in later that use a tri-bar design which I felt provided a bit better image overall.

That does look great. Nice custom job! Something all us Mustang owners have been asking for, painted buckets with no big lens cover (obviously the headlight needs one )
