Default Headlight splitters

Okay. *headdesk* I'm shopping headlight splitters on eBay. Can anyone explain it to me why some are 159.00 and others are 39.99? All come painted to match the car paint code, looks like all of them stick on w/3M sticky tape.

Some of them look thinner than others, but that's about all I can tell for a difference. Anyone else got thoughts?

That's what I wondered - because otherwise, I can't see a lick of difference, except like I said, some of them seemed thinner... and see, to me, paint doesn't matter. *G* I have a brother w/a body shop. LOL

Are the $39 splitters pre-painted?

Purchased my 3DCarbon's from LMPerformance.com

Does say they're painted, yup. That's what had me scratching my head.

And maaaan, you found the same splitter/headlight set up I'm wanting to do. That set up does look sick. Ya... let us know if either of you bust out and buy them...I'm having to piece meal it, buy the splitters, then the head lights, so yeah... I've got a little time to decide.

I bought mine from CJ's Pony Parts. Got them pre-painted. I couldn't be happier with the way they look, especially with the LED Halo headlights I have installed.

I almost bought. Here is the email I received when I asked the seller what they are so much cheaper;

"Dear tampa7012,

It is a different type of plastic (they are from LP Autosports) and I have almost every Mustang paint color so it cost me very little to paint them. On the longer ones I can't take less than $30 though because they are a little more expensive.

I may buy these but I think they look better with the lights Cali has vs. the standard lights. I'm going to tint my lights and then decide if I'm going to buy.

They do come painted.

I'd noticed the type of material the thinner ones are made of was listed... and is different than the thicker ones...

I wonder if they'll hold up as well over time? If not, I guess you only got 40 bucks or so in them....
