Default Figuring out what mods to do....

I purchased a 2006 GT Satin Silver, Black Leather with a Manual 5 speed in late August and am now trying to figure out what mods to do first. Would love to hear some feedback and opinions from you guys/gals.

First thing I was planning on doing was a set of Borla Stingers (Mufflers Only) to get a more aggressive sound.

Second would be a set of Eibach Springs...Pro Kit I believe.

Third is simple....tint the windows.

Fourth is probably going to hurt the worst. I really like the Foose Nitrous Chrome style wheels. My car has brand new Goodyear tires on it but they are 17's. It came with the Bullitt style wheels with the painted spokes. I'm thinking the 18" Foose wheels non staggered. Opinions and info from you wheel guys would be helpful on this!

Last but not least would be cosmetics. I'm thinking of the Classic Chin Spoiler on the front (undecided on painted or black) and I really want to do something with a hood. I love the GT500KR look but don't want to change whole front end. I was looking at http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...=&utm_campaign but am not sure. I've seen you guys say a lot about Cervini hoods but didn't see a GT500KR style hood on their site. I would love some input or advice on hood quality and function from people who have put aftermarket hoods on.

Also, about Quarter Window Louvres and Scoops...I just don't get the whole 3M tape thing. Won't they fall or fly off after a given amount of time? I love the look but taping body parts to my car just seems wrong on so many levels.

This definitely should be first, then...

You can preview the sound for most axle-backs for our cars here to help verify if Borla's, for example, achieve your desired sound - http://www.ninosport.com/2005-2010-M...acks-s/655.htm
If your car has stock shocks/struts (especially if they have any amount of miles on them), you probably want to upgrade these as well when you change out the springs. And although not required, many times after lowering your rear will shift to the drivers side and will require an adjustable panhard bar to square it up.

IMO, the best looking louvers are form SHR as they replace the rear windows and mount flush http://www.silverhorseracing.com/web...ategory_id=255

Watch the classifieds on all the Mustang forums as most of these parts pop up at a nice savings over new.

Welcome to MF and good luck with your modding!!

The CAI & tune is the absolute first "GO" mod you need to do. The Stingers are a great second to make it sound as fast as the CAI & tune makes it feel. Wheels, better rubber and suspension would be good but don't forget gears and a few other pony adders and free-ups.

The 3M tape works just fine providing you follow the instructions TO THE LETTER regarding installation. 90% of good adhesion is in the preparation and curing. I hear so many stories about problems and then find out they didn't prepare the surfaces correctly or allow the adhesive to properly cure. My side scoops (attached to the body panels) and quarter window louvers (attached to the 1/4 window glass) plus my rear window louvers (attached to the rear window glass) are all held by 3M tape. After more than 2 years, over 30,000 miles and MANY, MANY SUSTAINED runs over 100 MPH they're as solid as a rock.

Be sure to read the stickies. Lots of great info there that can save you lots of time and from wasting $$. And for the record, ANY mention of TB spacers will result in banishment for the forum and maybe the entire web. hehehe
