Default Black + Clear = Painted Lights - Need Help

Whats up guys - anyone know the mixture ratio (%) of black and clear coat to achieve enough transparency to paint the headlights and tails - I know "0NF1R" (think thats him) paints these up, and just need some help getting the mixture down so I don't literally "black" these things out.

Appreciate any help!

you could always just buy the covers. there not that expensive and you can get them at the local parts store. Autozone is the cheapest that i have found.

Niteshades is great and you'd really have to screw-up to apply too much of it. The thing about it is it will be more of a matte black, unless you do a gloss clear over it. Best results I've achieved from it (not on the stang) was when I did a wet-sand in between three light coats and then a gloss clear over that.
