L.E.D. Taillights question?????
so i installed 5th Generation Blacked out Taillights....but now when i use my turn signals they blink extremely fast. almost like if you were to have a bulb burnt out. anybody know of a way to fix this??? its annoying as hell!!!

LEDs draw way less current than an Incandescent bulb. The SJB is reading the reduced draw as a burnt out bulb, and is altering the flash speed to let you know to fix the problem. You'll need to put a resistor inline somewhere to draw the correct amount of power for the SJB. I don't know personally what that is, but there is this product that is designed just for this problem. I'm not endorsing that specific site, or product, that's just the first thing that popped up when I searched.

if you have any luck with the resistor let me know.
i replaced my front turns with LEDs and had the same blinking problems.
I bought the load resistors above and connected them in series with the turn signals and it didnt fix the problem. I spent about 5-6 hours troubleshooting this (and im an electrical engineer).
In the end i believe i needed a bigger resistor, but i ended up abandoning the LEDs because it wasnt worth the effort.
On a side note, I used to have the APC LED tail-lights and i believe they came with load resistors attached to the circuit board. These by themselves did not produce blinking problems for me.

I wanted to post this if you ever replace the 3rd rear brake light bar with LED too, problem and fix below.
LED 3rd Brake Light for my 07 GT. When I installed it, it worked great when you depress the brake pedal (as it should) However, when not depressing the brake pedal, the LEDs remain dimly lit at all times. I called the vendor that I purchased it from and they told me it was defective and sent me a new one. As soon as it arrived I installed it and I have the same issue. It works, but like I said, the LED's remain dimly lit at all times.
The fix was to install an in-line resistor. Apparently the LED's draw such a low amount of power (unlike a standard bulb) that they stay dimly lit from the constant "hot" source (unlike a standard bulb). So, the resistor actually prevents the LED's from drawing power (constant dimly lit) until the voltage is increased when you depress the brake pedal. It was a 4.99 item.
