I used the silicone on mine because in one area there looked like a gap in the sealent. Didn't use it on my tail lights from AM because the sealent looked fine.

I got mine from ebay about 3 years ago, with no problems at all. Here's a pic b4 being blacked out.

Is there any install thread out for these yet? It cant be to hard to swap them out right?

didn't do mine myself, car was in the shop for an accident when they showed up so they put them in for me but it seems easy.
