Default SHR CF Blackout Panel

I am considering picking up this blackout panel. Anyone have it? I think it'll look great on silver but the panel looks to be slightly short at the top end since it doesn't have a frame around it. If you have pictures of it installed or have feedback, please provide here.

I have it and like you said it is a little short at the top and kinda hard to get just right since it is flexible and uses 3m tape to stick on......when it stops raining i will get you pics.....mine is on a black car though.

I have an idea, but it's rather expensive and here's why:
You'd have to get 2 panels...
This panel would look killer over the SHR honeycomb one.
It would require some careful trimming to fit inside the honeycomb frame but man, it would look killer!!

I might just do that on my car.

Been trying to imagine what that combination would look like all afternoon. Agreed, it would look pretty sick.

On second thought, upon looking at the honeycomb one up close, there won't be a lot of CF material between the top and bottom of the cut out faux cap hole.
That might look a little funny...

I'd like to see it on your car when you get a chance. The CF seems like a great concept, but it falls a little short without the frame (no pun intended lol).

Why cant they just manufacturer it properly to where it fits correctly? On a light colored car like silver or white that would look like **** with the paint exposed. Too bad I would like something like that for my silver car.

If you want a better carbon fiber panel then get the one from RKSport. It goes all the way up to the curve in the trunk like most panels out there.

Here's a link...

Note that the picture in the link above shows the panel with 3 holes for mounting the faux gas cap. I think it's an old pic.

Here's the same panel on the RKSport website and I think it's what you'll get if you buy one...

You're welcome!
