Default rear window louver

Does anyone have the rear window louver in abs plastic not painted? If so, please post pics and I was just wondering how good they look not painted. I will be purchasing some painted to mach side window louvers as well. Thanks.

Dont do it man, get the aluminum ones. I think the AH are the best looking but just get any aluminum ones. The plastic ones like like sh@# and arent as good quality. Also mat black paint is a popular option.

Here are my A-H aluminums, painted to match. I'm not a big fan of the ABS rear window louvers.

Yeah don't get the plastic kind, you will regret it later. The aluminum ones are more expensive, but will hold up a lot longer.
Think about how the plastic trim looks on a Honda Element....ugly in my opinion. Especially after the sun starts to bake the oils out of the plastic making it fade, turn white and in some cases, crack.

OP, American Muscle have a BUNCH of pics for what you're requesting

2 weeks ago, I ordered the aluminum rear louver from Cervinis (I love those guys). They arrived this past Monday but I can't install them cause it's been raining over here in NoCal. Talk about being anxious, lol.

BTW, I heard the ABS louver fades and could possibly warp in due time. Those two factors were deal breakers for me.

It's all a matter of preference. Part of the reason I installed one was because I like the looks but also because it significantly cuts down on the heatload inside the passenger compartment in direct sunlight. And since I frequently travel long distance with a big black dog in the back seat, she really seems to appreciates it.

Don't get the plastics. I had louvers on my old 79 Camaro and back then I went with the aluminum. They looked better, more durable, lockable and never warp. I have seen the plastics warp, it's not a pretty picture. Louvers are not as popular now, but back in the 80's they were on almost every Firebird and Camaro (mine included). I loved it back then but they did cut down on visibility. Aside from the heat issue that Nuke mentioned, one thing I loved was that the rear window would stay clear in the rain. For some strange reason the angle of my Camaro's rear window didn't allow for the water to run off fast enough and it would become full of water and I couldn't see out the back. The louvers helped eliminate that problem. They lasted me for years and I sold them with the car. Pay the extra few bucks and get the higher quality aluminum.

Maybe I will just forget it and leave it like it is, I did get the back windows tinted 3 years ago which helped lots for the heat. I was just going to do it for strictly looks, but maybe I will spend the money else where, thanks!
