For those of you with the stock hood scoop, can someone please measure the distance from the center back of the scoop to the edge of the hood (nearest the windshield)?

I purchased a hood scoop from The Spoiler Store and need to know where to place it. The template they provided is only for drilling the holes. I believe the distance is 8-8.5". I had another member measure for me (8 7/10), but want to get more measurements before I drill.
