Default Destriped my car today.

Took the stripes off today.. it looks 100 times better without them. I used a hair-dryer and didnt even need goo gone or anything! No adhesive stayed on it.

Wow I have a few questions for you.

1. How long was the vinyl on before you removed it?

2. Did you have stripes from bumper to bumper?

3. Did you pull them straight off, or did you have to go diagonally in such a way as to prevent pulling up clearcoat off the car?

4. Was it 3M vinyl or another manufacturer's?

5. If you removed bumper-to-bumper stripes, how long did it take you?

Thanks! Looks good.

Agreed. 100 times better. Never been a fan of the rocker stripes. They look childish to me. Fine with rally stripes in general, just hate the stock rocker stripes.

Thanks guys! everyone loves it they said it makes my car look like a GT. haha

1. My car is a 07, i got it from a auction around this time last year with 8k miles. its Garage kept and barely salt seen.

2. No, its from front fender well to back fender well.

3. I used a hair dryer on High heat, I heated it up exactly enough til where the adhesive would not stick to my paint. and pulled directly off

4. 3m vinyl from ford factory.

5. It was from fender well to fender well, and it took bout 30-45 minutes.

Thanks for the info! I need to destripe my rear bumper and tackle it again. The creases left over from my original install are driving me insane.

I like the new look!
