I signed up for the silver mustang registry last night and got my number. They sell a customized decal for the registry number. I was thinking about getting one and putting it on the chin spoiler. Not sure how it would look or if it would look out of place and could use some opinions. This is the example:



Comes in four colors, black, silver, grey, and white. If it's a go, I'm thinking black is best to match the theme of the car.

Also not sure if it would be a privacy issue or if it would really matter, since they do have a little info linked to the site and number.

I haven't exactly measured for fitment yet lol.

 

i went to a dealership and found a saleen with the custom numbering on their bumpers... i put mine in the exact same spot as theirs is.... i will measure when i get the chance, normally ppl put them under there driverside headlight...

haha no prob. ya they are vinyl, and they are hollow... if you peeled them apart you could make a pinstripe... haha sorry its the only way i could explain it

 

i do like the placement on the front bumper corner best. I have seen some on the rear bumper or the trunk...didnt car for them.

 

I think it would look good, and the majority of people will not even know what it means. Only sports or Mustang enthusiasts will know. If you are concerned about privacy, just don't put anything on the website you don't want others to see.

 

Agree, drivers side headlight. Thats where mine will go. Just have to decide between black and grey. SMR #317.
