hey i live in socal and am looking for a place to paint a new hood im about to order GTR hood fiberglass, looking for a decent job but not show quality, i have 700 total and am picking the hood up for 420 so like i have 280 to spend on getting it painted, any ideas?

 

where at in socal?

Also your budget isnt very high for fit/prep/paint/install

 

I have been looking for a decent and affordable painter in SoCal for almost 4 years now. If you find one- let me know. Just make sure they don't use the cheap California clear- it yellows.

if you don't wanna get backed into, park at the back by urself, and back in, then get out to ur car, sit there and wait for everyone to leave. no more problems. i'm in highschool and that's what i do sure you lose like 10 mins tops but it saves u the accident where you lost money cuz u sure aint gettin a hood painted for 280. just my opinion

 

To the O.P.

WTF MAN?

First you said you had 700 bucks to spend...
Then you said 6k to spend.
Then you say you wanna buy this and this... then you change and wanna buy this.

You just got through saying your money was all gone now because of the economy and you helping your dad with his truck.

I'm beginning to think you are either completely full of B.S. or you have a serious case of amnesia.

My advice? Don't buy anything right now and take some serious time out and make a well organized plan for your car and how to get to those goals.

 

I wouldn't expect a good job from a place that only charges $280 to paint a brand new hood. I've never gotten a new hood but the fair price for prep/paint seems to be about $400

 

me and you are in the same boat!!!! hahaha if i had a dollar for every time this guy changes his mind or makes something up i would have like a lot of dollars.

 

IF and this is an IF he does have money... doing what he is doing without a timely, well thought out plan is gonna get him nowhere but regretting what he spent that money on just to hurry up and get stuff on his car.

And more than likely it is gonna look like crap (example: his underglow, thinking hes gonna get a good paint job for 280 bucks...)
... or he is gonna blow his freakin motor doing something to the car he knows nothing about.

He needs to cool his jets and educate himself and then take some serious time and thought... and like I said, make a plan for his build.
