Non mark tool filed down to a fine flat head like shape will do it, the tape will not take off paint

Park it in the sun so it's good and hot then use some good old monofilament fishing line like a smooth bladed saw to the separate the parts. Clean off the residue with WD-40.

+1 on the fishing line and then soften the remaining tape and adhesive with any type of solvent (WD-40 works well as a solvent as well as for removing tar. Just be sure to wash and rewax the area). It'll take some elbow grease and patience to remove it all.

If it's the OE scoop then you may also be dealing with a few mounting studs/holes.

i would imagine plastic would be pretty safe, but i would wait for another confirmation. but use wd-40 or goo-b-gon, and fishing line.

I've used a plastic putty knife on my fiberglass boat hull to remove old stickers without scratching the surface but I'd be leary to use it on my car's painted body components. If you do, be sure the edge is nice and smooth, like new.

I'd personally stay away from the putty knife idea and stick to the sun/fishing line/WD-40 combo if it were me
