Well before I pull the trigger I just wanna make sure that this sounds like a good deal to you guys.

The guy called me back so it is $350 for bumper, paint, and install. I also found a red GT bumper w/ grilles for $400 including shipping. Which do you guys think is a better deal?

You will also need the lower closeout panel and i believe inner fenders has well to go to the GT bumper.

Yeah, I have read the other GT bumper conversion threads. I have been looking to do this for quite awhile now. I really want to know how hard it is to put on by yourself.

The guy w/ the bumper for $350 is local, but I'm afraid he won't get the paint right. He isn't with a shop, so we won't have a contract if he screws it up. Then, I'll end up spending at least $50 on grilles.

The Ebay bumper for $400 is OEM D3, so I know it will match, but then I have to install it myself and that is kinda scary. Lol

The install is not too bad at all as long as you have all the right tools before you start. Also, you dont really need the gt fender liners, if you go without them though there will be a small gap at the bottom of the bumper.

I'd definitely go with the GT bumper (I'm biased though). Install is pretty easy, just follow the write-ups on here. That's what I did

Got mine from ebay, negotiated them down too

Yeah I def want it. I'm really excited about changing the look of my ugly V6 front end.
Plus, my front end is beat to crap too.
I was just a little worried about putting it on. Are the needed tools just regular tools? Nothing special that is needed?

Tanner, it is 4 bolts 2 on each side right above turn signals I wanna say they are 11mm nuts. Then you take the radiator cover off under the hood its 6-8 push pins that are easy to get out... 1 bolt on each side of the grille under the radiator support. Push pins in the fender well to change on the front ones... Its pretty easy Tanner, you will be able to do it.

See page 8 and 9 (the numbers on the bottom of the pages themselves, it has pictures on how to remove the front bumper... Disregard the "splash shield panel" on the bottom, you don't have one.

Hey Tanner. There are a few things that I was able to do myself on my car and taking the radiator cover off to install the black grill was one of them. Good luck on your project girl!
