Here's my smooth CDC. I had it painted to match my tail lights.

Thanks. I didn't want shinny tail lights and a dull blackout panel, so I had it all painted to match and look like one piece. It's my favorite mod so far!

Awesome pics everyone....and thanks. Lots of nice looking rides!

awsomeaussies....That's a nice custom setup. Kind of makes me wonder about doing something similar, but since I have a black Stang, maybe painting it another color. Did you use the standard CDC decklid and shave the ribs off? Or is there another decklid panel that they sell? I didn't see another one on their site.

I also still really like the CDC, and the SHR honeycomb w/SHR faux gas cap. Everyone's pics definitely help!

I know CDC used to make one that wasn't ribbed. Mine had a slight texture I sanded smooth. If not I think a couple other companies make some similar.

How bout making your own panel. Could use Carbon fiber wrap. This stuff is said to be good outside of the car for about 4 years and 12 years inside of the car

Regular: http://www.cfwrap.com/3M-DiNOC-Carbo...p/din-8801.htm

and if u go to the main page http://www.cfwrap.com/ you can get it in other colors.

Its very easy to install all you need is a heat gun or hair dryer and i believe it might be cheaper to go this way than to buy a panel.
