Default Does this dash piece come off?

I was wondering if this piece of the dash comes off? It's the piece around the vents above the stereo. Previous owner had something stuck between the vents and the dealer tried to clean it off with a remover that made the black lighten around it, so it's a bigger spot now.

Here is a pic online that shows a good view of the vent piece.

Yes it does, that whole dash part all the way across comes off. I believe they snap in.

Oh, so the little piece just around the vents isn't separate then? I was wanting to grab one from a junk yard but I didn't want to have to buy a huge part of the dash.

And as to the radio, I have no idea! I just picked this one out of a quick google image search lol.

Here's a link to a dash removal thread. The part in question with the 2 center vents does come off seperately, but it does require removal of several other items.

Thanks so much!

That really helps. Now I can see what I'm working with.

i had to remove that center piece when i did my sirius radio install....take your time when removing the passenger side airbag module, i ended up with a few chunks of my nuckles staying on the framework of the dash, and make sure before you start that you disconnect the battery. it goes back together easier than taking it apart. i left the fuse in the junction box, just unhooked the battery and did whatever i could to drain whatever power might have been in the lines, taking fuse out is just piece of mind. at least thats what people on the boards told me, but i had no issues with leaving the fuse in. good luck
