Default which is cheaper?

I found a GT bumper on craigslist for $75...so would it be cheaper to buy that and get it repainted or buy a new unpainted GT bumper and paint that.I am assuming it would be more to paint the already painted one.I have no idea what body shops charge for stripping paint etc.

Correct me if im wrong, but most paint shops will just sand it down to the plastic. Pascal might be able to help ya as he owns his own shop and could give you a better idea, but those gt bumpers online go for 200+ unpainted so I think that craiglist bumper is the way to go unless its damaged. Then that's a whole other charge for repair

I got a gt bumper, already painted red, repainted screaming yellow for $265 by a very high trained and highly touted body/cillusion center that has rebuilt some beautiful cars. I think being painted already was a plus since they just had to sand a paint instead of a ton of prep work.

If the paint isn't damaged, then it's a piece of cake.
