Window Louver Question - Need Input

These are my personal favourites, and the only ones I would ever actually put on my car. Window louvers are just unattractive imo.
Sorry, can't answer any of your other questions.

I think window louvers look great.
In my opinion they are a small accent that really brings out the retro look
of the 60's Mustangs.
The solid ones I had at first but they block your entire view out of that window AND they go OVER the window on the body and often do not fit well.
I had mine taken off and re prepped them GOOD and they STILL left a small gap where dust, moisture, etc. was exposed to the 3M tape and even though you would not notice it unless you walked right up to them and really looked, they were there.... and one day I heard myself run over something and it ended up being that damned louver.
So I switched to the lover that attaches ONLY to the window with the 3M tape.
If fit MUCH better, had no gaps and was stuck on like friggin cement.
I took them off (very carefully using fishing string as to try not to scratch the body) before we traded the car in but I ended up selling them because they did not look like Shelby louvers. I also had a few scratches on the body even though I was very careful in removing them but managed to remove them with Scratch X because they were SO light. That was the ONLY time Scratch X actually worked for me.
The other scratches I managed to get I took to my brother who worked at a dealership and they buffed them out quite nicely. I just dropped the person that did it a little bit of cash to show my appreciation and to make sure I had them next time I needed another scratch repair lol.
Good to have hook ups!
Better now though because we have a garage to keep it in so no scratches so far on the GT500 after about four months of us owning it. *knock on wood*
These are the two lovers I like:

Those seem to be the best fitting and both look like the 60's Fastbacks.
The solid ones look pretty cool but they are the Shelby' look alike and like I said they do not fit as well. The louvers you buy from Shelby themselves could very well end up fitting better than the other aftermarket Shelby style lovers but I have no experience with them so I can give no real personal input.
Again I think lovers look great and so do MANY OTHERS.
I also think headlight splitters look great on GT's. or V6. I do not like the
headlights that separate into two different lights one above each splitter.
They are a little over the top for me. They are simply a matter of opinion.
If you dig the louvers like MANY of us do. GO FOR IT!!!!

I absolutely agree with Blacksmoke, louvers completely accent the retro styling of the Mustang. I love mine. Got the pre-painted ones from AM:

Great fit and look, and absolutely simple to install. Paint is great match but there are some pits on them. For $199 I am pretty damn happy.
The Roush are very nice as well:

They come in black but you can color match.

I've also got the Roush louvers. Not a big fan of the Cervinis scoops as they do block the entire window and they just seem to stick out a tad too far. No subtlety to them at all. With the Roush louvers you can train yourself to look through the slats to see traffic.
Other than that you can look at SHR louvers. They actually REPLACE your quarter windows and need to be installed by someone who knows what they're doing. Almost no reduction in visibility and look pretty cool.
Here's my Roush louvers:

I've got the DG Customs... Got them from here...

Paint match was perfect. They stick on the glass with 3M tape. I've had them on for over 2 years now and haven't had any problems with them trying to come off. After washing the car I just blow out what little water is sitting in them and good to go.

That's exactly the type you want to buy.
No hassles of getting it to fit right on the body nor worrying about scratches on the body when you take them off.
Very nice louvers.
