I have purchased 2 of those kits one for the 05 and the 07, the brackets fit fine for me it was getting the damn ball into the joint... when I did the 07 I used vaseline and it slid right on.

Remove the retaining pin and the ball goes in freely.
Leave the pin in and it bends during strong arm installations.

Are they positioned upside down?

If not, I am not sure what is different with either the 09 model or maybe it's a Shelby / GT/CS thing.

I tried that with the first set and you couldn't put the pins back in and eventually broke while trying. ended up gerry rigging some old fox body ones to make a repair. as for installing them upside down, I don't think I did, I followed how the picture in the instructions had it.

Installed upside down will pooch the hood when you close the hood.
Its an interference fit upside down and something has to give. The OEM
aluminum hood is the first to bend when its closed with struts installed upside down.

Yup, I found out the hard way. Sides of the hood are raised ~.125" right in the middle.

If you PM me your order number around 2/10/2012, I will send out a new set of brackets for you expedited!

Some people don't mind the bracket upside-down, but to make a cleaner install, we decided to redesign the bracket, and will now offer different part numbers with different brackets for 05-09 and 10-12. Sorry, and thanks again for your understanding!

It's been two months now... any word on the newly designed brackets?

Maybe not.
Is two months long enough to redesign simple hood strut brackets?
I went with the ROUSH hood struts.

Still no word...

I actually tried to modify the brackets and there isn't even enough metal on them to drill the hole where it should be.

Sad.

So Chris....

What's the deal man?

No update, no nothing.

I have an upgrade list sitting on my desk and I won't be purchasing a single thing from AM from this point on until they fix this.

I seriously doubt AMs ability to handle anything going wrong on a more expensive order if they can't even fix a simple bracket.

I am willing to provide any measurement information you need, please PM me.
