Well, I did it. Is it perfect, nope, can I live with it yep.
I found some black fake leather material that matched the dashboard pretty close. The whole thing is really pretty easy to do. I did it by myself, another set of hands would have made it a little easier. I did follow your DIY but I would add a few things to it. Have extra fasteners on hand, cut the hole for the light console before applying the adhesive, it will let you minimize wrinkles, same thing with the corners, cut them so you can pull in all directions. My material is probably a little thicker and more difficult to get wrinkles out of so I think cutting it before glue would help.

The problem now is that I have grey sun visors, light console, and coat hooks, oh well. I might start looking around for a complete set of black interior panel set and visors at a pick a part place or junk yard. If anyone know of some let me know.

I will post a few pics tomorrow. Need to get some sleep, taking the car in early for set of Ford Racing 4.10's.

Nice man! Can't wait to see the pics. You could always paint the coat hangers and light console with some flat black paint.. or even plasti-dip them.

Oh also, you can take the sunvisors apart and wrap them in your leather material as well - then take them to a custom shop and have them stitched together. I had mine done for $35.. my buddy found someone who did his for $10, so it shouldn't be expensive.

I did mine in leather today. I have to admit the sun visors just look out of place now. I guess I'll have to take them in to get professionally covered.

WildAZCat, nice job, not sure I want to post my pics now, but here it goes. BTW, the might just buy some new visors from pick-a-part or something.

You think it would be easier to that the headliner out:

And the finished product:

How did yo get it so smooth around the visors? Did you start there and did you cut holes so you could stretch better. I think I messed up by starting in the back, but also, my material had a thin liner that caused me trouble, once it was down it would wrinkle when I put it back down. Guessing the leather was just leather without backing?

That **** looks awesome! I would imagine leather being a lot harder to work with than suede.
