I am as well! I followed the instructions to a "T" and was suprised the one corner did not adhere that well. Before installing, adding the extra super duty 3M tape to the louver would have helped tremendously!
Be sure to use 90% or higher rubbing alcohol to clean the area on the car, where the louvers will adhere to. You may need to call around and find out who carries 90% alcohol or higher in your area. I found some at a local grocery store.
I have not applied racing stripes, but I did help apply my Saleen vinyl faded stripes. I used a spray bottle (soap/water), squeegie and microfiber towel to make sure I did not scrape the stripes. I've seen some postings on step by step guide of installing the racing stripes. They use painters tape to line up the stripes and also use a spray bottle, squeegie and xacto blade to cut the stripes. Try using the search function and you should find it.
