Default How much to paint a Trufiber GTS-4 Hood?

Well the title says it all, I just wanted to know if anyone has had this done or has an approximate idea of how much it would cost to get a trufiber GTS-4 Hood painted. Im on a budget and just wanted to make sure I could afford it.

I would like to know also, it should be the same for any hood.

But not all hoods are created equal, some require a heck of a lot more prep work than others.

Wild *** halfway-educated guess... Between $300-800.00.

When/If I get a cowl hood, I'm going with a Cervini's pre-painted. IIRC they charge $300 extra to pre-paint them.

I'll do a Cervini, Kaenen for around $600 and a bit more if it's red.
That's pretty much what it takes for a quality hood (minimal prep).
Some other brands need so much work it ain't funny... $1500 isn't even in the ball park, lol.

Why is red harder?

My dad has painted and worked in a couple of shops in the past (Though he's never been a dedicated painter, and truth be told I've always known his quality was on the shabby side) He always said he hated black, because black showed the slightest error or spec of dust.

A hood with lots of scoops and vents will cost more to paint than a stock hood.

But, like everyone is saying, $600 +-

Red's not harder...
That color cost about 3 times more than any other.
It's well over a $100 for a pint of red base coat, ouch!
