I'm thinking about getting a set of these for my stang. Do you guys think it would look stupid? Right now my car has to sit outside due to our garage being full. I keep a car cover on it and roll the windows down when I'm home. I just thought when I'm not home, I could keep the windows cracked and not have to worry about rain.

Looking at that photo, it appeared to be the kind that fit into the groves....non-stick-on. So I called and they told me that they do stick on....DRATS! I don't want that kind! Does anyone know of a company that has the kind I'm talking about? I have some like it on the other 3 vehicles I own....love 'em.

Due to how our doors/windows function, ALL of the after-market self-installable side window deflectors are adhesive based. Even ford's own, I've had mine on for 3+ years now, no issues.

If you want them bolted in or the like, you'd have to take it to a shop, or do similar yourself.

I will add, these work in a mediocre fashion at best, it's adequate for sitting at a stoplight for a minute with it cracked, and when moving; beyond that, no way. You'll end up with water in there for sure even in rain with no wind with it parked.

As the drop-down from the widows can't be increased that I know of, I doubt the bolt-in ones would be any better. The problem with ours is since there is no door framing at the top, the plastic deflector can't be down nearly as far, since it's not going to be attached to the door, but the top of the vehicle.

Since our windows have a rather unique form/function, I've not seen any that fit into the seam, even if there was, it would still have the same issue as it still has to be mounted to the top of the car in that seam rather than the door frame. And likely adding a leak problem if the window can't seal completely in many instances.

I agree with Wayne. I thought about these, too, but I don't think they would work well with the drop down function on the windows.

The ones on my other 3 vehicles don't bolt on. They snap in place in the window channel. I've had them on for years without any issues.
Yeah, you guys are right about the window function as well as the shape allowing water to drip in even though you are parked. Oh well, guess I will look into plan B......a car port. Actually plan B would be way better especially when storms blow through with hail.

As an active smoker, this is a must have, but it's useless for just about anything else I'm afraid. I've tried cracking my windows a few times with 'em when it rains, seat and door always end up soaked. It's a limiter, so ok, not entirely useless, but darn close.

The other cars I'm betting have the window go into the door frame though, yes? Ours with the window needing to fit directly into the car body, are not unique, but definitely not common. All the ones that function this way are in the same boat that I've seen.
