Gives the wheels a retro look similar to a 65 GT.

Thanks for all the compliments. It really changed the look of the car. I've had a couple of people ask if I got new wheels.
The old GT wheels is actually where I got my "inspiration" to do it.
I think I am going to go with some tri-bar pony emblem center caps to finish them off.. And paint those calipers.

Ford actually offers it on upgraded V6's. I saw a new 2012 convertible earlier this year at the dealer with the painted wheels like that.
