Default Completed CS Front Conversion! BUILD PICS!!

Ok, I would like to first state that my 2008 Mustang is NOT a California Special, and for those of you who have something to say about it, please keep your comments to yourself. This build thread is for those of you who have been considering this option, but need some insight and visuals to pull the trigger.

Click on the link below for pics, they are arranged newest to oldest. They will take you from the raw plastic bumper, to paint, to clear bra application, to finished product.

After about a week of having the car back from paint, the color matched lower, middle section of the bumper was just not working for me. My solution, which was a little expensive, was a real carbon fiber inlay from the boys at Raceskinz, good quality product.

I then got the new bumper completely wrapped in 3M clear bra, and installed Agent 47 brake cooling ducts. The cherry on top was the installation of a GT500 front splitter, which seems to have been WAY easier than fitment on a standard GT bumper, and much cleaner looking. I used all SS hardware for this. I took this process a bit further though...Because you could still see a few of the mounting holes on the GT500 splitter in the front once installed, if you look really, really close, and I did not like that at all, I covered the area with 3M carbon Fiber vinyl, matching my Raceskinz carbon inlay, and covering the holes, it came out PERFECT!

All in all, I'm very happy with the way the whole project came out, and would like to just give a thanks and a shout out to the guys who took the time to answer some of my questions!

Nice work! Car looks awesome. I always see the CS conversion but nobody goes all the way and does the brake ducts - that not only adds functionality but helps the car look much more aggressive yet still clean! OK...so did you go all the way and order the flex brake tubing and caliper brackets? It's not expensive and it will be truly functional.

I have a CDC aggressive chin, and brake ducts. Just need to paint the chin. I am also ordering the APR splitter kit and the Agent47 brake duct/bracket kit. Fully functional!

Dang, I was thinking of doing this exact set up, minus the carbon fiber. Looks really nice, great job! Love how it looks with the Candy Apple Red!
