I have smoked CCFL Halo Fogs. Didn't want to go with the tint film. If your going to do it go all the way it looks better, well at least in my opinion. Once you go black, you will need white LED fogs bulbs or a HID kit to brighten up your lights. The stock amber doesn't look good once you tint them out. Here are some pics.

I've got a custom grille as well. I bought some lamin-x tint for my fogs and sure enough it's patterned to fit the oe style fogs/grille. So with my grille it left a tiny bit uncovered around the edge of the fogs. I ended up spraying VHT Night Shade to cover the edges. Unless you get super close(like within a foot) you can't see the edge of the tint.

edit:
This is heavy duty film not a hard cover (like the gts ones).
Tip for applying the tint...remove the fogs from the grille. It takes a little longer but sure makes the job easier.

nice well i hope mine will work, i have a super tiny space where the covers should go. they are on back order so its going to be a month before they come in. if they doesnt work i may buy the raxiom smoked fogs. do you think they will fit in the custom grille?

Just something to consider! Smoked fogs look great as well, very stealthy in the black grille

Thanks for the comment. I like the yellow euro/jdm look also. In fact I run 3000k(very yellow) h.i.d's in my fogs. The oe halogens just don't cut it when your running tinted fogs... they end up dull, almost brown looking. The hid's really cut through the tint when they're on.
