Automatic Headlights
This is kind of funny. I just got pulled over the other day for not having my headlights on. I had been driving for about 78 seconds, and I'm used to automatic lights, and this was the first time I drove my stang at night. This heavy set (no offense to any law enforcers or masculine women) woman climbs out of the police car with as masculine of mannerisms as possible and she comes up to me (a healthy young male in a nice car) and the first thing she does is ask me how drunk I am. Of course I was completely sober as I am no idiot. I couldn't have been nicer to the woman, and she couldn't have shown more dominance or been more abrasive as she harassed me by continually accusing me of drinking and getting behind the wheel. Eventually, the woman realises that I am being honest, and she proceeds to give me a violation for not having my headlights on. I have a hunch that if I were female, had my blouse unbuttoned, and started sobbing when she pulled me over she would have let me off on a warning. I know I should have had my headlights on, but I don't feel I deserved the violation (which I later got out of) and I don't appreciate my tax money paying someone to go around trying to belittle people. Regardless, I learned being submissive to cops of this sort is not helpful as kindness and honesty are not appreciated in the eyes of people of this sort. Anyways, I think I might put some automatic lights on to avoid the reoccurrence of a similar event.
While they have a diffficult job to do, sometimes the feeling of authority goes to their head. I guess she thought this was going to be an easy DUI and you dissappointed!
Glad you got off. I like my Auto Headlights.
