2008 V6 Fog light help!!

5 Attachment(s)
To start things off i need to know if i need a wiring harness. I believe my mustang came with the pony package, but one thing is missing that most of them have..THE FOG LIGHTS. I got this used for my birthday about 5 months ago and the one thing that i want to make it stand out from other V6 mustangs. I looked today if there were any extra wires anywhere and i really didn't find anything. My mustang does have the dial that has the pull for fog lights on it, so i think there are wires in there somewhere, i just don't know where to look for them! if you guys could help out and maybe give me some places where they could be tucked away at that would be great, ill also post some pictures to show you that it has what most PP mustangs have! Please help me!

not the pony package. pony package would have GT suspension, bullitt wheels and if I recall the brakes too, but it's been a long time since one of those was in my life. Plus the side stripes would be different.

Interesting, could be a pony package but it could also be a regular model that the previous owner added the emblems and spoiler onto after the fact (nagging suspicion tells me that's not the case). But another difference is that you have the base 16" wheels, while the pony had 17" bullitts, a different tape stripe, and the lower grille is different as well. Any chance you could look up your VIN and see what your car came with from the factory?

I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER! I LOOKED UP THE VIN AND FOUND THE ORIGINAL STUFF IT HAD ONE IT! IT ISNT THE PONY PACKAGE!

2008 V6 to GT fog help!

So i have found out that i do not have the pony package, so i will need the wiring harness for the fog lights i will buy. The next question is will i be able to use the switch i have now to turn them on (pull back to turn on) or will i have to do something else?

the picture below is the switch i have now!

It looks like you have the fog light switch already. A prior owner must have changed the headlight switch at some point. The indicator on the left is for the fog lights.

If you buy the harness that fits the factory GT headlight switch you will have no problem using this switch. They come with the instructions of how to hook the two wires into to the switch. It's fairly easy and straight forward.

Don't buy a cheap eBay harness to save money. You'll regret it in the end. AM has a Sharkey (sic) 3425 harness for around 100 that seems to be the norm. Looks like a nice harness. I was going to buy one, but instead I built mine, but that's just me.

Buy the harness from American Muscle. That's what I used when I added my fog lights. It will work with the factory switch and comes with easy to follow instructions.

This one

The V6 PP would have a 18mm rear sway that the base V6 does not.
No GT suspension items on the V6 PP.
No GT brakes on the V6 PPs.
Just the upgraded 17" rims, the associated steering stops,
the 18mm rear sway bar, the Tri-Bar emblems on the front fenders
and those small, do nothing fog lights.
(base V6 does not have the rear sway bar)

Side stripes are the same for a V6 and a PP.

So I guess you are only right about the upgraded rims.
The PP is no better than the V6 except that pesky 18mm
rear sway bar and the useless mounted above the fog, foglights.

The T headlight switch in the dash will have a date code on the rear.
It should be close but not past the date of manufacture
that is on the door jamb sticker for it to be original.
