Default Stock tail light behavior?

Okay, this has been bothering me for a while but I keep forgetting to ask. What is the stock tail light behavior? The 05-09s don't have any kind of sequencing at all do they?

I noticed on my car the inside two lights sequence but the third outside lights don't light up when my turn signals are on. I guess if you go by numbering inside to out, sequentials should be 1-2-3,1-2-3,1-2-3 and mine are 1-2,1-2,1-2. Stock behavior just lights up what? All 3 or the inside two? But at the same time not in any sequence, right? I had the tali lights out the other day to replace the reverse lights with LEDs but I didn't think to look at the wiring. Does it sound like I have some kind of a sequence kit that's not working for the outside lights or maybe some half-assed kit?

I'm confused and it looks kind of silly because it's not a full sequence so I'd like to fix it, but I've tried searching and came up empty on why mine do that.

Not sure if you have a half complete kit or not. Find a ford manual and get the exploded assembly view, then take yours apart to check if there is a kit in there.

In stock form the outside two bulbs light up at the same time. If they sequence then you have some sort of kit on there.

Hmm... yeah, that's what I thought. I wasn't sure if there was a cheap way to make it do the behavior I have without buying a full kit or something that someone may have done before I got it. Assuming it isn't raining when I get home I'll open it up and see if I can find anything with the wiring.

Check the Carolina chat thread before you do too much. Sorry, I posted over there.

Stock lights on the 05 thru 09 do not sequence.

Found a splice in webelectric board under some electrical tape. Now to check the bulbs and then the wiring to find out why I don't have my outside lights.

Looks like I'm betting on the bulbs. Filaments don't look burned or broken, but swapping lights seemed to prove one was bad. Also after pulling the light it looks like a full harness, not splice in. Thanks all.
