Default Billet grille replacement vs. clamp-on?

Hey all!

I'm interested in putting an horizontal billet grille on my GT, but don't like the appearance of the aftermarket clamp-on versions.

Is there a direct replacement version? Especially one that doesn't delete the fog lights?

Thanks!

the only ones I found that keep the fogs were the overlay type. CDC and roush make a replacement grille, but there is no fog light.

Guess I've never given any thought to the fact that mine is an overlay.

Thanks Guys! Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the overlays if they work. It's just that the ones I've seen always look a little flimsy, especially the ones that don't delete the fog lights, being they are in 3 pieces.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. But I really hadn't thought about it. FWIW, of you decide to go overlay, I like mine from AM.

Ours had the three piece overlay billet grille when we got it, it never looked "just right" to me somehow and so I removed it ..... it's hung in basement on a nail now.

But to each his own.

See, to me, the brighter colors like yours look fine with the black grille. For mine, it looks like something is missing. But, I'm not sold yet, either way. I'm in no rush, so we'll see how I feel, down the road a ways.

Thanks for the feedback!

I really like the look of the billet grill in these photos, i would have blacked out the fogs and headlights, it would have looked awesome, but I understand everyone likes their own thing. Choose what makes you happy. Whatever makes you walk by your car and smile then its all that matters. my wife hated the idea of stripes and the billet grill before we got them, when I had to take them off and have them replaced She couldnt wait to get them back on again.

I got my replacement upper grille from UTV products on ebay. Unfortunately their bottom grille is an attachment type, which I plan on rectifying by welding on some brackets as soon as my mustang is back from the engine builders.

Here is the website.

DG Custom Auto sells a billet grille that allows for the fogs to be behind it. It's what I have on my 09' GT/CS.
