I had the same thing happen to me! I was at an intersection under a large oak tree...and PING! A nice dime size dent in my roof. Good new is, paint less dent removal did the trick. To save myself a few bucks , I dropped the headliner for the on site tech. All said and done, 10 minutes of his time, $50 = restful mind!

Man that sucks. You need a new parking space. I'd be pissed too.

You need to look around for a good paintless dent repair guy more. I found mine on Craigslist. I took a chance and I was astounded at the fixes he did for me. He was the fourth guy who had looked at the car. The dent in the hood was about 1/2" deep, about 3 inches long and was creased in the middle. We bought the car that way. This guy looked at it and was like hell yeah I can fix that. He fixed it, one in the drivers door (typical rock ding), and then some bad waviness in the drivers door on our '97. He asked 80 bucks, it took him maybe 45 minutes and I tipped him 20 for an even 100 cash. He does PDR for the rental car places here in Denver so maybe that is a good place to start. Call the rental car companies in your area and ask who they use. It can totally be fixed, it will be a lot cheaper I think then a 1000 bucks. Good luck to you!
