Default want opinions please

So I'm going to getting a super snake stripe painted on my car here in the next month or so. Its going to be the wide 21" stripe with a 1" pin stripe style stripe on the hood. I'm only getting the hood done now, as I'm looking to get a gt front. So the opinions I'd like to have are: 1. what color? Thinking either white or a satin silver. 2. Hood scoop? Painted my vista blue? Or the color of the stripe? Or just good scoopless? Any opinions are greatly appreciated as always.

Scoopless (those scoops on S197s...especially the 2010+ models are hokey) and satin silver would be my vote.

I would go with satin silver and a hood scoop. That's offer the top of my head though. You should post up a few pics of your Mustang, so it's easier to picture what's best. Plus, I might change my mind depending on your rims or other exterior mods!

My rims are just the oem sixxer fans. I just sanded them down a bit, taped off the edge and shot them black, then clear coat. I can't quite bring myself to buy new rims idk why. I to am thinking a satin silver or even a bit darker like the oem tungsten silver. Hood scoop I'm still not sure yet. I know for sure I'd like hood pins.

Glad you posted up some pics! I'm definitely set on some type of silver now. I think a satin silver or tungsten silver would be awesome. They both have different qualities, but I think I'd like either.

Although, the satin may match your quarter window louvers better too!

Don't just paint that hood only. A vinyl kit is around 150-200 dollars for the entire car. It's super simple to install if only time consuming. Only the hood will look ridiculous. And don't waste money on a scoop since they are not functional.

Where are you finding the wide stripe kit for $200 Ricardo? I initially was just wanting vinyl incase I got tired of it, but the size stripe I want, they are around $500+ and I can get the entire car done in paint for $300 and he's gonna do the hood only for $50. Its the same guy that fixed my car when I hit the deer. Hes got a small shop. It just looks so plain up front.

I'm thinking satin silver as well. Initially wanted white, but there's another vista blue mustang around here with dual white rally stripes. I like trying to set myself apart so everyone sees my car and they're like "oh that's josh's car"

jlopez07,

We have the Super Snake style strip kit available for $114.99 at the moment. However, the factory Super Snakes use a 12" center stripe and .5" pinstripes. It sounds like you're looking for something twice as wide as that, correct?

If not, this is always an option for a more affordable cost!
