I am thinking about swapping out my original outside mirrors for 2014 mirrors to get the pony on the ground light. Will they fit and do they need some electrical work?

You will need to redrill the door as the mirrors themselves arent exactly a direct fit. I believe its just one hole that doesnt line up though. After that its just a matter of tying into the door wires.

 

I too was tired of the stock mirrors on mine. I just put some painted covers and what an upgrade. I should have done it years ago. AM sells them.

 

One doesn't line up and another needs to be ovalised with a rat file...
Agent 47 was a good solution for these cars but A47 is no longer in business so no more of these mirrors.

 

AM sells the MMD pre-painted mirror housings, pretty much the same style as the A47's. I replaced my A47's with them. Somebody must sell the pony light thing to retrofit into the older stangs. (UPDATE: I found plenty of lights that can be retrofitted into the doors on ebay - really not much room in the mirror housings though, so I wouldn't even try)

 

MMDs are fine. The A47 cup had more of a roundish bullet style which is more appealing IMO...
