For whenever I open the trunk with the light off, I have two rear
facing RED LEDs. I used the holes that were already in the
trunk lid, these LEDs fit in there perfectly! Wired them to the
trunk light circuit:

Got two 10-Packs of LEDs, Amber and Red from eBay, with push in rubber
grommets. Going to put Amber ones in the hood where the lift struts mount
would go. I have micro-tilt switches that look like capacitors, so when I open
the hood, it will switch on the lights. Safer than a mercury switch.
